Dryscapes
Unlike the northern hemisphere’s four seasons of winter, spring, summer and fall, most of Africa experiences only two seasons—wet and dry. I divide Wildscapes into opposites: Wetscapes and Dryscapes. Wetscapes celebrate relief from draught, and feature Earth’s most valuable resource. Dryscapes reveal wildlife’s survival. Although the wet and dry cycle is inevitable to Africa’s ecology, I fear that debilitating floods and crippling drought will soon dominate the landscape.
