Dimbers

“Dimbers” are precious treasures of beauty and sentiment. To preserve our culture, southern women pass their collections onto the next generation. I inherited my name and her treasure collection from my mother, who inherited them from her mother, who inherited them from her mother. My goal is to preserve the memories of my maternal ancestors and serve as the custodian of their cherished dimbers.

I arrange our dimbers within the landscape of dreams where rooms are fleeting impressions on a white ground. Ambiguity allows one to invent a bespoke story.
